Global Compact Kenya participated in a panel discussion at the Governance and Accountability Summit at State House aimed at taking stock of progress made by various sectors in the war against graft. The summit was convened against a backdrop of increased corruption cases in the country and calls for greater accountability by various agencies. Network Representative Phyllis Wakiaga presented on the various interventions spearheaded by the private sector such as sponsoring the first ever Private Sector Bribery Bill and mobilizing leadership commitments and action against corruption through the Code of Ethics for Business in Kenya.  The summit was also attended by top officials from all arms of government representing the Presidency and Executive, the Judiciary, Parliament, Attorney General's Office, Director of Public Prosecutions and other independent commissions and agencies.
