Kenya’s premier healthcare facility The Nairobi Hospital has today reaffirmed its commitment to the United Nations Global Compact Principles under the leadership of the CEO James Nyamongo.

Welcoming the Hospital to the movement, Global Compact Network Kenya (GCNK) Kenya Executive Director Judy Njino noted that the Hospital's commitment to sustainability not only aligns with global goals and best practices but also reflects a forward-thinking approach to healthcare that considers the well-being of both patients and the planet. It also sets a positive example for others in the healthcare industry to follow and can contribute to positive changes in the broader healthcare ecosystem.

Mr. Nyamongo on his part pledged his personal and corporate commitment to the cause, adding that sustainability is at the heart of the Hospital’s current strategy and will remain a key pillar moving forward.
The Hospital is also among over 800 companies in Kenya who are signatories to the Code of Ethics for Business in Kenya committing to join efforts with other stakeholders in ensuring an ethical and transparent business environment.

The UN Global Compact is a call to companies to be a force for good in society by taking strategic actions to advance broader societal goals, such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with an emphasis on collaboration and innovation.
