                                 Speakers and participants at the Workshop

February 23, 2017:  Global Compact Network Kenya in partnership with Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) held a sensitization seminar to sensitize businesses on the key provisions of the law as well as discuss strategies to ensure the new law is implemented effectively. The training was attended by 70 participants drawn from the private sector. Speakers included the key government agencies responsible for implementing the law such as the Ethics & Anti-corruption Commission, Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and Office of the Attorney General & Department of Justice.

The Bribery Act 2016 is a recently enacted Act of Parliament to provide for the prevention, investigation and punishment of bribery. The Act came into force on 13th January 2017, it places obligations on public and private entities to put in place procedures that are appropriate to their size, scale and nature of operations, for prevention of bribery and corruption.

 

 

Global Compact Network Kenya invites submissions of detailed financial and technical proposals for a consultancy assignment on The Bribery, Act 2016 as per the attached Terms of Reference.

Proposals are to be submitted by Tuesday, 11th July 2017 12:00pm.

Participants at the COP Induction

January 26, 2017A COP training was offered to Non-communicating and new signatories aimed at providing guidance on integrating and reporting on the UN Global Compact 10 Principles. The training focused on:  Introduction to the COP, compiling a COP, COP trends and uploading of COPs. 12 companies were trained and are receiving ongoing one-one support.
